CrossFit Orange NY is a CrossFit affiliate in New York State's Orange County, based at Bare Fitness in Goshen, NY. One of the original NY affiliates. We have been busting crossfit buts for over 4 years now! We agree with, endorse, and train in accordance with CrossFit principles and methodologies. We offer safe - but highly effective - Crossfit training to people of all ages and fitness levels. People quickly find that Crossfit isn’t your normal workout routine; it’s a sport in and of itself.
CrossFit uses functional exercises crafted to compliment our bodies natural movements, which is not predetermined by a machine. Our bodies are made to run, jump, push, pull, throw, and stand from a squatting position. Our 'Workouts of the Day' are comprised of a wide variety of athletic and weightlifting movements, calisthenics, and Olympic lifts.
Although we conduct our workouts out of a "big box" style facility, we operate CrossFit on principles opposite from the normal “big box” gym. The only way we succeed as a CrossFit affiliate is by helping you get into better shape than you ever thought possible. Make no mistake about it: the journey is often just as rewarding as the goal itself.
We use class time wisely. You commit to an hour for a CrossFit session, but the Workout of the Day (WOD) isn't scripted. It may last ten minutes, or it may last an hour. Our training is constantly varied and movements are functional. This is the type of fitness that translates perfectly into everyday affairs. The hour-long session time will usually include a warmup, technique/power/or strength work if time permits, the WOD itself, sometimes a dreaded post-WOD 'Finisher', and a cool down.
