Lucie started her journey to health and fitness in 2010 running 5k road races. In just months it lead to a passion with Obstacle Course Racing and ultimately CrossFit. During her time racing OCR, between 2010 and 2015, she became a sponsored athlete and could be found on many weekends throughout the year racing at any of the east coast courses between Vermont and Tampa. She has also tested her limits at various long distance endurance events including 50k trail races and Rucking Events. Looking for different training, she was introduced to CrossFit and hasn’t looked back. She started CrossFit in 2012 and became a CF-L1 Trainer in 2015 after pressure from her CFONY community and mentor/CFONY Founder Barry Chait, to do what comes naturally to her…help people!
Aside from coaching here at CFONY, Lucie has also been with the Orange County Dept. of Social Services for the last 19 years. Currently she works with Adult Protective Services but was previously with Children Services for 6 years. She has a passion for helping to make a difference in people’s lives no matter how big or small and fosters strong community inside & outside of the box. She lives by example not only to the community but in raising her son as a single mom. Just starting his next chapter as a D1 runner at the University of Buffalo, Louie could always be found at the box working out or running through the community. When Lucie isn’t track side or course side supporting her son at his meets, she is generally at the box supporting the athletes here even if that means just holding someone’s hand for a box jump.
She is fully committed to helping anyone that walks through the door become the best version of themselves possible, including the trainers and staff here at CFONY. In the next 6-12 months she is planning on going for her CF-L2, Gymnastics, Aerobic Capacity and Weightlifting courses.
